If you consider yourself even just a little bit romantic, a visit
to the Keahua Arboretum is recommended if you're going to be on
the island of Kauai, Hawaii. Granted, there are a lot of very
romantic places all throughout Hawaii, but the Keahua Arboretum is
a little special. Located in the mountains above Wailua, the
Keahua Arboretum is 30-acres of pristine lawns, picnic areas, lush
forests and more. It's an oasis of paradise in the middle of
paradise.
The Keahua Forestry Arbetorum is approximately 5 |
miles past the Wailua Reservoir on Highway
580. With bubbling springs, cool pools of water, trails and a lot of
natural beauty, once you get here, you're going to want to stay
forever. Whether you want a perfect place to picnic or spot to stop
with the kids and wife, this is a little maximized version of the rest
of Hawaii jam packed into 30 acres.
Once you get here, you may end up doing some walking, so you should be
ready for this. Some of the roads in the park aren't that great, but
it's relatively easy to get around. It's worth the little walk. Once
you see the beauty around you and start to let it soak in, you're
going to feel happy that you're able to experience such a beautiful
spot. If you're on Kauai, a stop at the Keahua Arboretum should be on
your list of things to do and places to see.
