Lanai Shopping

Another island where you won't find large shopping malls and national department stores, but on the other hand small, locally-owned shops and stores with many locally made products.  See our Lanai shopping guide for some notable shopping destinations for tourists.

Featured Lanai Shopping Destinations

Lanai Marketplace
One of the most well-known tourist destinations you can find in Lanai City is the outdoor Lanai marketplace at Dole Square Park. The colorful and bustling marketplace features a lot of interesting products. You can expect to find newly home-baked goodies, locally grown garden-fresh produce, potted island plants, a diverse fusion of Hawaiian, Filipino and Japanese cuisine, and an exhibit of the local artist’s and craftsmen’s talent can all be seen at the market.

Richard's Shopping Center
This "shopping center" is, in fact, a general store with a grocery section, paper products, ethnic foods, meats, liquor, toys, film, cosmetics, fishing gear, sunscreens, clothing, kitchen utensils, and other miscellany. There's an extraordinary selection of fish hooks and anglers' needs. Aloha shirts, aloha-print zoris, inexpensive brocade-covered writing tablets, fold-up lauhala mats, and gourmet breads from the Central Bakery are among the countless good things at Richard's.

Lanai Plantation Store
Lanai Plantation Store is centrally located in downtown Lanai City and provides the only gas station on the island. The store also has a host of gift items, t-shirts, snacks and drinks. Nani's Corner, a snack bar, is situated to the right of the store and is open Monday thru Friday from 6am - 1pm.

Gifts with Aloha
For some of the best uniquely Hawaiian gifts you can visit Gifts with Aloha, a small gift store run by the Dupree family which sells minigardens, lamps, locally made clothing, quilts, Hawaiian music and books, candles, aloha shirts, art by local arts, and much much more.  Also some products of notable interest which are sold at the shop are honey from the Big Island, jams and jellies by Lanai's Fabrao House, and soaps and bath products made on Maui.
