If you're going to be on the West
Coast of Maui, Hawaii, a stop at the Kahakuloa Village is in
order. Nestled between big mountains, this is one of the most
secluded places on the island. You might not think it, but there's
actually quite a lot to do and see here. Whether you're a history
buff, like to shop, or just like to get to the out of the way
places when you go on vacation, this should be on your schedule.
One of the best things about Kahakuloa Village is the journey
there. While it's a small road in the mountains that leads to the
village, there's a lot to |
see before you get there. From a few great
spots to stop for a terrific view before you descend all the way to
the olivine pools to the Bellstone, it may take you a while to
actually make it to the village. It will be worth the trip, though, if
you make it the whole 16 miles to the isolated village.
It may be isolated, but once you get to Kahakuloa Village, there's a
lot to do thanks to all the locals who live, work and play in the
area, preserving its history. The village is home to around a hundred
people. They go a long way to make sure guests to the area have a good
time and have all their needs met. If you're looking for a great
secluded spot on Maui, this should be something that interests you.
