Separated by Black Rock, Kaanapali Beach
is a great spot on Maui for snorkeling, swimming, and just taking in
the natural beauty of the area. In the heart of a rich resort area on
the West side of Maui, this beach offers a great place to sit back and
relax or have some more active fun in the sun. From restrooms to
showers to lifeguards on duty, there are a lot of amenities all along
the beach. With a large cement path from Black Rock to one of the
local hotels, you can take it all in if you're staying in the area.
There are a lot of resorts on Maui, but having quick and easy access
to Kaanapali Beach makes some of them more than worth their money.
When you can leave your hotel and hit the beach within minutes without
having to drive, you know you're going to be able to spend more time
relaxing on the beach. Sometimes when on vacation there's so much to
see and do (especially in a place like Hawaii) that it's important to
slow down and relax on the beach, regaining your energy.
That said, for other people, Kaanapali Beach offers a great place for
activities. From snorkeling to diving to swimming to running to
biking, there's a lot the beach has to offer, especially for guests at
one of the nearby resorts behind the beach. If you're planning on
going to Maui, you may consider making this area your base of
operations for your stay. You can still get around the island, but if
you want to stay close to "home" you have the beach and everything
else in the area, making it a great decision.
