Maui is home of Lahaina, the famous whaling port and the gateway to
whale watching; Haleakala Crater - known as the House of the Sun; The
remote and lush paradise of "Hana"; Kaanapali Beach and the best wind
surfing in the world at Hookipa.
Maui has a total area of 729 sq. miles (48 miles long and 26 miles
wide) with 120 miles of coastline. Population is a little over 91,000
residents. The highest point is Haleakala at 10,023 ft above sea
