International Marketplace

The International Marketplace at Waikiki, Hawaii, is full of over 120 shops of all varieties. There's enough to satisfy even the most dedicated shopper. Even if you don't find anything to buy, the experience of walking through so many vendors on a beautiful island is something you should experience. The market is open from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. everyday. They're located at 2330 Kalakaua Ave., near the Waikiki Town Center.

This place isn't going to be for everyone as it can sometimes be quite a zoo with people pushing and

yelling and moving around, selling and buying both.  If you like open air markets, trinkets, and aren't put off by large crowds of people, this could be just the right side trip when you're in Waikiki. If you go, though, you should bring some cash and be prepared to spend some money. There are a lot of great deals to be found among all the vendors.

If you've never been to Waikiki before, or you have but haven't stopped at the International Marketplace yet, you need to add it to your list of things to do in the city. Located in a great place and full of things to buy and people to interact with, the open air market is a great place if you want to escape the urban mindset for a while and enter what seems to be another world sometimes. There are so many things to see here, that you need to make sure you block enough time or at least visit once when you first arrive and once again before you leave. If you like finding bargains, there's sure to be something for you to find.
