Iolani Palace

Iolani Palace Iolani Palace was the residence of King Kalakaua and Queen Liliuokalani, the last king and queen of Hawaii. Today, the palace is considered a national treasure, and for good reason. It's also open to the public, and is a great place to visit if you're in Honolulu, Hawaii. Located in the Capitol District of Downtown Honolulu, this place attracts people from all over the world. It shows what Hawaii was like before it became part of the United States.

The palace is open for tours on Tuesdays through Saturdays every week. Depending on the type of

tour you take and whether or not you're with a group, the hours vary, so you'll want to call to get specific details - (808) 522-0822. The palace is located at the Corner Of King St. & Richard St. and there are a lot of events - from concerts to classes to workshops. No matter what you're into, this place is going to have something that's interesting to you.

There's a lot to see and do in Honolulu, but there are some places that you simply have to make time to see, and this is one of those places. Restoration began in earnest in the 1970s, and it really shows when you visit Iolani Palace. A lot of attention has been paid to details, making the place resemble what it was like at its prime. Today, the palace draws people from all over to see the majesty that once was (and still is) Hawaii.
