Ala Moana Beach Park is one of the largest
and busiest beach areas in the Honolulu area. Ala Moana Beach
Park is located across the street from the Ala Moana Shopping Center
and offers a large park area for all kinds of activities including
barbeques, sports activities, tennis courts, and restroom facilities
scattered throughout the park.
During the weekends Ala Moana Beach Park
is usually filled to capacity and it becomes difficult to find
parking. There are several popular surf spots about half a mile
out from the shores of Ala Moana Beach with nice rolling waves for
beginners when the surf isn't large.
